The Guidance Office offers a broad variety of student-centered services. We meet with students individually and in small groups to advise them regarding a wide variety of issues including academic requirements, personal concerns and career. Counselors manage student programs and carefully evaluate student progress in accumulating credits in each subject area sequence to satisfy diploma requirements.
Our role also is to meet with parents, consulting with staff, and integrating the school 's guidance workshops. We also offer resources for outside counseling referrals and community service volunteers' opportunities. Advisement and counseling includes writing the Secondary School Report (letters of recommendation for all seniors), grade advisement, tracking student academic progress.
